Silk Scarf Workshop

Standard

At the end of June I headed to Irving, Texas, to visit with Angie Vangalis.  Angie is quite a gal!!  She works with the Texas Lettering Arts Council and puts on amazing workshops with Zentangle.  I was fortunate enough last year to attend the CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher) Marketing program she offered.  This time she offered a silk scarf painting workshop and it was great!!  It was a small class, which was nice because we received more individualized attention.  Plus we had an opportunity to get to know her better.  I find it amazing that some people can accomplish so much in their busy lives.  I must be time challenged because I can’t seem to find the time to complete all the projects I want to complete, even now that I’m not “working”.  “Oy vey” (as they say in my country of NY)…where did I go wrong?? Here are some pictures from the workshop.  I have to tell you, I will never look at a handmade, painted scarf in the same way again.  Now I know how much time and effort goes into making such a piece.  And the samples that Angie had of work she and some others have done was extraordinary!! Again, sorry my pictures are always out of skew…I’m working on it! Happy Tangling…B.
