Zentangle Demonstration

Standard

Our Zentangle demonstration went very well yesterday at Consign and Design Interiors in Andover, KS.   Thanks to all of you who attended!  Denise’s store (consignment for your home) is absolutely wonderful!  She has a beautifully, tastefully decorated store with loads of wonderful home decor items including furniture, framed pieces, decorative items, glassware, mirrors, lamps, and anything else you may be looking for.  And if she doesn’t have it, check back with her in a day or two because the store items are constantly changing!

The workshops we have scheduled for January are quickly filling up, so if you are interested, please call Denise at 316.558.8833 to reserve your spot.  Gift certificates are available!  Purchase a kit and/or gift certificate for your favorite friend or family member and have them join you for the January workshop.

What better way to decompress after the holidays than by relaxing with people you love and learning how to make a Zentangle!

Such an exciting event!!  Sakura micron pens are a wonderful tool to use when creating your Zentangles.  Little did I know when I first started making Zentangles how much I would fall in love with these pens.  They come in all sizes and colors.  Get Your Tangle On!!

Tangling in Wichita

Standard

The demo and workshop given today at Beyond Beads Boutique on E. Central was a blast!  Everyone had a great time and each attendee went home with a couple of completed projects.  The weather was perfect and we had a plenty of light at the table located at the front of the store.  Holly, the shop owner, is a gem…please visit and support her… she has a fabulous selection of beads, jewelry for sale, clothing and accessories, decorator items, and provides great customer service.  Here’s a couple of pictures of the Wichita Tanglers!

The Journey Continues…

Standard

I am amazed at all of the information you need to learn about to blog, put up websites, teach classes, prepare for classes, continue to learn your craft, network, etc, etc, etc.   The days are just flying by and it’s already almost the holidays, which in and of itself makes for busy days.  Fortunately, this year I am taking it easy.  No fuss shopping for me!  I am baking (some of which is already done) and tangling.  So, although the stores do get my money for supplies…I don’t have to run around looking for a parking spot at the mall and trying to decide what to get everyone.

This walk on the Yellow Brick Road is going to take me places I could never have imagined.  I am looking forward to seeing the results of my efforts and how those efforts will impact peoples’ lives.  I really enjoy, so very much, this art form and can’t wait to share…

Tangling…

Finally!  I had an evening where I could tangle!  I made two new Zentangles and my stash is beginning to grow!  I have 6 new Zentangles that need to be framed and taken down to the gallery.  In doing two this evening, I’m realizing that my work is beginning to evolve.  I am grateful for that, because I see so many beautiful pieces on the internet.  I enjoy looking at the work of others and seeing the different styles.  It’s just so much fun!

Ready, Set, Go!

There is so much information out there about Zentangles!  And once you become a Certified Zentangle Teacher it seems like there is more than ever.  I have been spending time on Facebook, looking at Websites, looking at Blogs, reading things and going to various sites that others have posted and MY HEAD IS SPINNING!!  So much to do, so much to see, so much to say…SO MANY TANGLES AND NOT ENOUGH TIME!

Learning…

I get by with a little help from my friends…thanks to friends who know what they are doing, I was finally able to load some images!  It’s been a long, long day.  I started tangling a pair of leather sneakers this evening.  I’ll post a picture once they’re finished.  I am finding that there is so much out there in the world of the web.  Websites, Blogs, Wikis, Groups…lots and lots of information.  I’m thinking I better retire soon so I can keep up with all of this!!

Blogging is tough!

Standard

I have been working on this for a couple of days now and I am either thick-headed or just not in the 21st Century!  I am having a heck of a time figuring all of this blog stuff out!  Stay with me, though…I’ll get through it one way or another.  What I DON’T like is that it is taking up my tangling time…

Plus, I’m trying to add pictures and they are not showing up…so frustrating!
